VALE PAT DUFF 🕊On behalf of the Gympie Turf Club committee, we pass on our condolences to the family and friends of Racing Queensland Hall of Fame trainer, Pat Duff who passed away overnight.Pat, a true racing marvel, forged an exceptional career spanning over 60 years, achieving his first-ever victory right here on Gympie’s historic sand track.A winner of multiple Gympie Cup’s in 1967 & 1968 with Papilloma; Pat made history at the Gympie Turf Club, training the first horse to win three successive Cups in 2016, 2017 & 2018 with Fasta than Light.Pat’s most recent triumph at the Gympie Turf Club came just three months ago in the Nolan Muster Cup with Gentle Prince.Pat was always a fantastic supporter of our club, a true gentleman of racing and his presence will be deeply missed.💛💜
