What a crowd. What a race day. BMW Accountants Gympie Cup Day did not disappoint as we welcomed over 1200 patrons trackside for a massive day of racing.
CONGRATULATIONS to the connections of KOBE ROCKS who took out the BMW Accountants Gympie Cup for 2023; ridden by Matthew Powell and trained in Rockhampton by Jared Wehlow.
We must congratulate Brown, Macaulay & Warren Accountants our race day sponsor who celebrated 75 years in business and 5 years partnered with us at the Gympie Turf Club on Saturday. The commitment and contribution BMW Accountants provide, ensure we are able to continue to attract and build on country racing and for that we are truly thankful.
Another highlight on our 5 race card was the Queensland Country Stampede qualifier which attracted a hot field of sprinters from across South East Queensland. Trained in Toowoomba by Corey & Kylie Geran; JACK BE LUCKY inched out rivals securing himself a spot in the metropolitan final at Brisbane Racing Club on December 2.
